Dimeryl diisocyanate (DDI) is one specialty isocyanate, featuring low toxicity, no yellowing, soluble in most of the organic solvents, low water sensitivity and low viscosity.
Besides being applied in the propellant, DDI is projected to have bright application potential in the field of textile treatment, elastomer, adhesive, sealing agent, printing ink etc.
DDI can be used as the heavy duty waterproofing and softening intermediate in paper, leather, and textile industry, performing the stability aqueous emulsion. By using the emulsion containing 2% DDI, the cotton fabric can achieve waterproofing effect.
